Foiling Week 2023 Showcases the Future of Wingfoil Racing

It’s a wrap! The first test event for the new X-15 Class was a massive success! The X-15 Class is the first one-design class for wingfoil racing and is designed to encourage competitive racing amongst riders where the skill of the rider determines the outcomes and not the gear that can give an unfair advantage.

We Are Foiling hosted this first ‘test event’ as part of their 2023 Foiling Week, in the wingfoil class. Starboard and FreeWing provided 15 complete sets for free for the aspiring wingfoil racers to compete on. French rider Clement Colmas came out on top with a young gun from Norway, Viktor Loof, coming in an impressive second place. British rider Daniel Wilson rounded out the podium in third.

It was thrilling racing and good times had by all over the few days of racing.
