Arendals Seilforening has a rich history in water sports, once reigning as one of Norway’s largest windsurfing clubs during the glory days of windsurfing. The club has proudly nurtured numerous Norwegian champions, European champions, and World champions, including the renowned founder of Starboard, Svein Rasmussen, who spent his formative years in this very city and its beautiful waters.

The Wingfoil Regatta X-15Class 2023 will feature a captivating slalom course and an up/downwind challenge, ensuring a thrilling experience for both participants and spectators alike. The track will be strategically located in the North Sea, just outside Arendal, where strong winds and impressive sea swells create the perfect conditions for wingfoiling.

Among the elite participants are Jorunn Horgen, Sebastian Wang-Hansen, and the legendary Svein Rasmussen, all of whom have represented Norway in the Olympics in windsurfing and have an impressive track record of victories in WC and EC events over the years.
